Charlestown Under-15 team had an excellent victory over Westport United in the county under-15 league recently.
They played some quality stuff in tough and windy conditions and were good value for their victory in the end. Goals from Paddy Joe Dunleavy who bagged two, Conor Drudy, Shane Maye and Peter Horan did the damage as Athletic continued their impressive start to the season. Hard luck to the Charlestown under-13 team who were defeated 6-3 by Ballyvary in their recent outing in the under-13 league. They came up against a good side who had a lot of quality in attack as they took all the chances that came their way in clinical fashion.
The Charlestown lads never dropped the heads however and kept battling to the final whistle and will be hoping to regain the winning thread in their next outing,
