All Charlestown Athletic’ s soccer fixtures have been suspended for the foreseeable future as the FAI Association followed their GAA counterparts with a swift response following a rising number of Covid-19 cases across the country.
This suspension is likely to last quite a few weeks as the numbers continue to surge which will impact on all matters club so it’s going to be a long winter for all players, managers and administrators as pitches lie idle without the sound of any leather being kicked anytime soon.
It looks like we’ll have to hunker down and stay indoors as we strive to bring down the numbers and reduce the risk of transmission in the community and hinterland at large.
