The Litter Control Task Force meeting, which took place last week, was well attended with representatives from numerous interest groups in Charlestown and its surrounding townlands, who are committed to tackling the current litter problem.
A number of issues were identified:
- Street/Cigarette/Gum Litter
- Take-away Litter
- Car Litter
- Household Litter
- Limited Number of Bins
Measures are currently being put in place to address these key areas of concern. Once, these controls are established and implemented, we hope to see a greater control of litter in the area.
