‘In Nearly Every House’ written by Gregory Daly with photographs by James Fraher, this is a book about traditional Irish musicians in the North Connacht area and is currently available in Eason’s and all good bookshops countrywide.
Local publican John Finan and his wife Bridie and their well known pub Finan’s Bar, Main Street, Charlestown, is featured in the book. Finan’s Bar is a long established traditional Irish music pub and has played host to many well known musicians over the years.
The book gives an interesting history of the origins of Irish music in the North Connacht region and is a good read well worth having in your book collection.
