The coronavirus has brought the Honour of the Village competition to a standstill with all fixtures suspended until further notice.
With the pubs closed for a mandatory two weeks, Governor Gus was left with no option but to suspend the tournament much to the chagrin and disappointment of many in the community.
The virus has seeped into all aspects of our lives and whether the competition will resume at a later date remains to be seen as we try to get to grips with life that has seen all kinds of restrictions imposed on our working and social existence.
