The Honour of the Village Darts competition hosted by Walsh’s Bar, Main Street, Charlestown, is about to get up and running for 2020 with games taking place in the coming weeks.
The competition is one of the longest running and most popular of its kind on the darts circuit having been first staged back in 1975 and it remains an integral part of the darts calendar and one which provokes lots of drama and excitement as teams from the many villages in the hinterland battle it out for the much coveted Village title.
Fergus Marren the new governor of Walsh’s Bar in tandem with his wife Grainne expects to touch base with all teams in the coming days and weeks to confirm their participation with the excitement beginning to brew among the many darts fans and enthusiasts in the area with the eminent start date of the Village competition looming large on the horizon.
