During the Confirmation Mass on May 24th, Bishop Kevin spoke about the treasure that we have in our parish that is Fr. Tommy Johnston.
Yesterday, Fr. Tommy announced his retirement, following 22 years of service to the people of our parish and indeed beyond as he touched the lives of many in his humble and kind manner.
Thankfully, Fr. Tommy will not be leaving the parish as he has chosen to remain in Charlestown as a retired priest, continuing his vocation of serving the Lord and helping in the Diocese as needed.
We give thanks for Fr. Tommy, for his 22 years of shepherding using his gifts of the Holy Spirit to produce many fruits of the Spirit.
May he continue to enjoy a healthy and spirit-filled life as he carries on his mission of serving God and His people.
