Unfortunately, the East Mayo Athletics Club have had to abandon their Easter Camp due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus together with the imposition of new restrictions on outside gatherings leaving the committee with little of choice but to call off the camp. This represents a real body blow to the many families who had signed up or indicated their intention to sign up. All plans changed drastically however with the arrival of the pandemic onto our shores which left the club with little or room for manoeuvre.
The club hopes to arrange a summer camp for later in the year if we return to some sort of normality but for now, it’s hard to plan too far down the line as we are still very much in the grip of a virus that has intruded on our social norms like no one could have ever predicted.
