Charlestown Carracastle Community Games

Children, General News.

The Community Games provide a wide range of activities for children aged 6 to 16 years. Children are encouraged to compete in a friendly environment with a greater focus on participation rather than winning. Essentially, it is all about taking part in fun-filled activities within the local community.

The Charlestown Carracastle Community Games have two upcoming events for your diary.

The first of these events is an Art & Handwriting Competition. This competition will take place on Saturday, 18th February at 1pm in Charlestown National School.

Art Categories: U8, U10, U12, U14 & U16 (Boys/Girls)

Exhibit may be painting, drawing, collage or cartoon. For U8 and U10 the theme is Community Games. For U12 upwards specific Community Games themes are provided. Participants should bring their own supply of pencils, colours, paints etc.

Handwriting Categories: U10 (Boys/Girls)

Participants should bring their own pencil. Paper is supplied.

Secondly, Charlestown Carracastle Community Games Quiz will be held on Tuesday, 21st February at 7pm in Carracastle National School.

The quiz is for under 14 (Boys/Girls/Mixed) with individuals making up a team of six to go forward to the next stage.
