Well done to the Charlestown Athletic U11 soccer team who captured the Circle Division title in great style as they went through the league unbeaten, which was a terrific achievement as they won five and drew one of their six games.
This was enough to crown them champions with one game still left to play. The team played some sizzling football all through the campaign and great credit must go to the manager Siobhan McCaffrey who had them playing a lovely brand of football. She was assisted by John Honan and they dovetailed well together and got the best out of a talented and dedicated young panel who blew away all their opposition with some eye-catching displays.
Hats off to the players, panel and management on a wonderful accomplishment with another trophy making it’s way back to the town with the club hoping to build on this success and use it as a platform to bring more success to the underage ranks in the very near future.
