The Claudio’s sponsored Charlestown Athletic 50/50 weekly draw resumed on Friday, July 17, after months of suspension and inactivity due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Envelopes are currently available in a number of outlets throughout the town such as Mahon’s Spar, Centra, Cassidy’s, Post Office, Mary Costelo’s, Colleran’s Pharmacy, Eye Candy, The Deli, Paradise Beauty, Mace, Claudio’s and Yeats to mention but a few.
It is the intention of the committee to do a live draw on Saturday afternoon in Mahon’s Spar. All monies raised will go towards the funding and purchasing of equipment for the many teams who represent the club at all the different underage grades. The club is hoping for a good response from the general public as they get the draw back up and running in a bid to raise so much needed funds. Anyone looking to purchase an annual ticket can do so by logging onto the Facebook page or contacting any member of the executive.
