The weekly bridge game, which has been such an integral part of the fabric of the community of Charlestown for more years than one cares to remember, has also fallen victim to the Covid-19 pandemic with all games suspended until such time as it’s safe to resume.
The game has a large and dedicated following in the Charlestown area and the players are hopeful of a safe return to play at some stage but it looks like it will be 2021 before that can happen as the wait for a vaccine goes on with all form of recreation and enjoyment as we know it continuing to be put on hold.
