The Michael Byrnes Memorial Challenge Match took place in O’Hara Park on St. Stephen’s Day 2016.
A large crowd gathered to watch the over-30’s compete against their enthusiastic under-30’s counterparts. Both teams provided many moments of excitement throughout the game.
As usual, The Michael Byrnes Memorial Cup was fiercely contested. However, experience paid off as the over-30’s edged to victory with their one point lead.
The charity chosen to receive the proceeds from the match was Enable Ireland. Over €1,000 was raised for this very worthy cause.
Well done to all involved!
