Help to give a little joy and love to a child this Christmas.
Team Hope, an organisation that serves needy children and their families worldwide will help to bring a little excitement and laughter to hundreds of thousands of children this year.
Your shoebox, a symbol of hope, will bring much joy to children in Africa and Eastern Europe. Many of these families are struggling to live on less than €1 a day.
Thanks to your much appreciated generosity and Team Hope, these children will receive a gift. For most, it is the only gift that they will receive throughout the entire year.
How to take part
- Get an average sized shoebox or a plastic storage container and wrap in Christmas paper. The box and lid should be wrapped separately.
- Choose either a boy or girl to receive your box and the age category of the child: 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 years old.
- Fill your box with gift items. Click on this link for a list of suggestions for suitable gift ideas.
- Close the box! Next, You will need to download and print the Team Hope leaflet, which you can do through this link. Alternatively, call into Charlestown Enterprise Centre where you will be able to pick up a leaflet.
- Tear appropriate sticker from the leaflet and stick to top right hand corner of your box lid.
- To get your box to your child, please include €4 per box in your leaflet envelope. Put the envelope either on top of the gifts in the box or tape to the inside of the lid. To make it easier, you can donate securely online at https://www.teamhope.ie
- Secure with an elastic band. Please do not seal with tape as the contents will need to be checked to ensure that they comply with regulations.
- Leave into your local drop off point by 11th November.
