Charlestown Development Association invites all members of our community to join Joe Byrne of Midwest Radio and local guests to The Town Hall Arts Centre this Friday, 5th August at 8:30pm for the official launch of Charlestown.ie and announcement of the winning entry for the Charlestown Logo Competition.
Charlestown.ie is the website that promotes all aspects of our community and has been developed by a subcommittee of the Charlestown Development Association and local webmaestro David Kivlehan of Hover Craftie Web Design.
Students from St. Joseph’s Community College were invited to design a logo that would represent our community and be all inclusive. Six wonderful logos were designed by individuals and teams from second year students from the Art and Technical Graphics Departments at St. Joseph’s Community College. The adjudication panel included local business people, artists and the Charlestown Facebook page community. Logos were designed by Cahir Vesey and Niamh Gallagher; Jack Mahon, Sean Dunleavy and Ben Conway; Eva Walsh; Shona Mahon and Leanne Duffy; Vivienne Beirne; Evan Carney; and Megan Sweeney. The announcement of the winning entry will take place on the night.
We look forward to a wonderful evening acknowledging the past and looking forward to a bright future for Charlestown.
